Custom Homes

Mainstream has installed high quality and efficient systems in more than 1,000 custom homes over the past 27 years. These homes typically range in size from 2000 to 15000 sq. ft. and require between one and 12 systems.

What makes custom home installation different from the track home installation is the layout and design of the systems, as well as the quality of the materials used. For custom homes, Mainstream starts by analyzing the home's architectural plans for framing, layout, and other important construction-related considerations. We then completely engineer the mechanical drawings for the HVAC systems, taking the following into consideration:

  • direction of the home

  • number of windows

  • amount of sun exposure

  • ceiling heights

  • volume of the home

  • insulation factors

  • framing of the home (2x4 or 2x6)

For new custom homes, Mainstream works closely with the homeowner and contractor during the entire job

and actively coordinates with the framer, plumber, and electrician.  We believe that open communication is critical to timely, accurate completion of the installation.
